Small Claims Court

 The Ontario Small Claims Court is a division of the Superior Court of Justice that hears matter where the amount claimed does not exceed the monetary jurisdiction of $35,000.00.

The purpose of the Smalls Claims Courts is to allow individuals with matters too small for the Superior Court a low cost and fast method to have their claim heard and decided upon by a Judge.

At the Ontario Small Claims Court a party can sue, or be sued, for money that is owed or a breach of contract.  You can sue for damages caused by another person for something that they did or for something they should have done but did not.  You can sue to get goods that you believe rightfully belong to you.
